It just started with a need
Our story
My crochet journey began in 2023 when I wanted to restrict my social media usage a little more. I found myself with a desire to do something creative, and one day, I stumbled upon a Youtube tutorial for a hexagon cardigan. I decided it looked easy enough, and that was my very first crochet project.
I moved on to some smaller amigurumi, then the next big project was the large blanket you see on the front page of my website. If you’ve visited me at markets in person, you’ll recognize the blanket as my tablecloth.
I discovered quickly that I am happiest with complex, non-repetitive patterns. You’ll find that most of my work is made this way. My own pattern designs are sticking to this trend as well.
In 2024, I started attending markets to sell completed items, and it has been the most rewarding thing I have done with my hobby. Even when someone simply comes to my booth and compliments my work, it makes my day.
I hope my work can continue to make people happy and that I can keep progressing as a designer to create amazing things for everyone to enjoy.
Made for fun
Every completed project you see on my website was a blast to make. I do not make things that I don’t enjoy making. I crochet while I watch TV and during my graduate school lectures to help me focus. This is my fun pastime, and I am fortunate enough that it is also something I can turn into a small business.
As for my patterns, I have so much fun making those as well. The process from idea to testing to completed piece is so rewarding. I even enjoy the math and pattern writing process. I am a writer by nature and love trying to make my patterns as clear as possible so they are accessible to anyone who wants to use them.
